The Terrible Twos - A Side by Side Comparison

To mark the last day of Harvey’s second year… here’s a side-by-side comparison you didn't know you needed 👶 ➡️ 💼

The Terrible Twos

Toddler 👶 v Business 💼

Toddlers:

• Want to learn

• Leave their safe zone

• Experiment

• BIG, uncontrolled emotions

• Recover quickly

• Test the boundaries

• Eventually (hopefully 😅) turn into beautiful, balanced 3-year-olds

Business in its early years:

• Wants to grow

• Steps outside its comfort zone

• Experiments with offers, pricing, systems

• BIG cash flow emotions

• Recovers (if you let it)

• Tests your boundaries

• Eventually becomes stable, profitable and predictable

In the beginning, you coddle your baby. Whether thats you're human child or your infant business. You’ve got control. It doesn’t bolt the second you look away.

But then comes the growth stage…

What worked last month doesn’t work this month.

There’s no clear pattern.

You’re negotiating with tiny terrorists (or deadlines, staff, clients and the ATO in the business world😜).

And just like toddlers — growth isn’t linear.

You adapt.

You negotiate.

You sit back and breathe.

You let the solutions come to you.

Because they will.

The “terrible twos” in toddlers and business?

Not a red flag.

Just a growth spurt. 💛
